Copy and Paste

This long awaited feature is here and delivers more than expected. Not only can your copy and paste text, but you can copy and paste intact sections of web pages.

In Text Apps:

  • Tap and hold where you want to start highlighting. Release.
  • Select All selects the entire document.
  • Select selects a word. You can then drag either direction to highlight more. Tap Cut or Copy.
  • To add elsewhere, tap and hold where you want to paste. Tap the paste button.

In Safari:

  • Tap and hold until the blue window appears. Drag the window up, down, in or out with the blue dots.
  • Press the Copy button.
  • To add to another app, tap and hold where you want to paste. Tap the paste button.
In Email you can paste photos and correctly formatted text. In text apps, like Notes, you just get the text. Incidentally, you can copy from email attachments you get.

If you're on Vista you'll find the few posts that are Maccentric marked with  at the end of the title so you can easily skip them. If anyone would like to contribute Vista or Linux methods, click my name below and email me the precise steps.
