Let's says you've just impressed someone in a bar by telling them that you're a bariatric surgeon, and of course complimented them that they don't need one. To further your ruse, offer to caluclate their Body Mass Index.

  • weight in pounds
  • x 703 ÷ mr =
Below 18.5 is underweight.
18.5-25 is normal.
25-30 is overweight.
30-50 is obese.
Over 50 is considered morbidly obese. This means that the obesity is at the level where it can cause other serious health issues.
