Your iPhone has advanced international keyboard support. Go to Settings>General>Keyboard>International Keyboard to set it.
Even with the good old English keyboard many international characters are available. The characters eyuioaslzcn?! all have foreign characters available by holding the key. Then just slide your finger to the accented character you want.
