Send Photos to MobileMe Gallery 

If you have a MobileMe account, you can post your images to a MobileMe gallery directly from your iPhone. In addition to being a very advanced photo site, a MobileMe gallery can be subscribed to, allows viewers to post, and has a special page compatible for viewing on iPhone. If you have a MobileMe account:

  • Create an album in iPhoto and title it what you want your gallery to be titled.
  • Click on it to select it.
  • Click +>Web Gallery.
  • Click Create.
  • Choose your options. You can change these at any time.
  • Click Publish.
  • Click on your gallery from the bottom of the Source list.
  • On the top is the URL. Click on it to see your gallery.
  • Bookmark the URL. You can view it from your iPhone and email the link.
To post from your iPhone:
  • Find the photo you want to add.
  • Click the Share button at the bottom left. The one with the arrow coming out of the image.
  • Choose Send to Web Gallery.
  • Choose your gallery from the list.
  • Email it to the address you see on the top right of your gallery in iPhoto.
The subject line of your email will be the caption.

Web Gallery images from your iPhone are resized to 640X480. If you give download permission, the entire gallery can be downloaded when the viewer clicks the download button from the thumbnail page. I have the start of a gallery if you'd like to see what the iPhone version looks like.

If you're on Vista you'll find the few posts that are Maccentric marked with  at the end of the title so you can easily skip them. If anyone would like to contribute Vista or Linux methods, click my name below and email me the precise steps.
You'll find more here about creating this site.

Enjoy,
