When you exit an application, it's still running in the background. If an app snags, you can force quit it without having to reset the iPhone. To force quit an application:
- Make sure you're in the app.
- Hold the Sleep button on top until the Power Off switch appears.
- Hold the Home button for about 8 seconds.
